Brighton is renowned for its art scene and its embracing of kooky, different and new ideas and concepts. One of the most popular interactive art concepts in Brighton is the “Open House” which is an opportunity for the public to view and buy original artworks in the artists home. The Underground Open House Movement is a darker more gothic take on this concept which should appeal to horror fans across Sussex.
One of the artists involved in The Black Gallery is horror maestro Billy Chainsaw of the Horror Channel, Bizarre magazine, Strippers Vs Werewolves, Macabre Market and Frighten Brighton fame. The Black Gallery is open every weekend throughout May but the Underground Open House Movement doesn’t end there; they will be holding ongoing events throughout the year so check out their website for further details.
